Overview

Promontory Healthcare Management is looking to bring an Accountant on board. This individual will be involved in the daily accounting activities for the health care companies we manage. At Promontory Healthcare, we manage the investment capitol and daily operations of multiple Transitional Care Units and Home Health Companies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; Master’s preferred;
  • Five or more related years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Health care experience is not required but is preferred.

Language and Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints. Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements.
