Promontory Healthcare Management is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. We develop and manage Transitional Care Units (TCUs) around the country in all types of markets.
Education/Certification: College level courses in accounting or business along with Associate's or Bachelor's degree are preferred.
Experience: Two years of human resources or payroll experience preferred.
Equipment/Technology: Must have basic computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Knowledge of computerized payroll and bookkeeping systems preferred.
Language/Communication: Must have excellent communication and listening skills. Must be able to understand a customer’s verbal and non-verbal cues. Must posses business writing skills and practice superb phone etiquette. Must have the ability to effectively read and communicate in English.
Mathematical Skills: Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide to calculate averages for monthly reports.
Mental Capabilities: Must have the ability to prioritize multiple and competing customer and staff needs.
Interpersonal: Must be able to communicate and work well with a diverse spectrum of co-workers and customers. Will more likely succeed with a positive and conversational approach to people.
